Dr. Macie P. Smith, LBSW, C-SWCM, SW-G
Dr. Macie P. Smith is a Licensed Social Worker Case Manager and a Social Worker in Gerontology with over 15 years of experience working with aging and vulnerable populations. Dr. Smith holds a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership with a specialization in Adult Education. She is the Program Development and Training Manager in the Office for the Study of Aging at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith conducts research and performs program evaluations. She also develops education and training programs with an emphasis on aging. Dr. Smith manages the evidence-informed Dementia Dialogues program that is presented across the state of South Carolina and neighboring states. Dr. Smith also serves as a Faculty member and Subject Matter Expert in the College of Social Sciences at the University of Phoenix. She has appeared in several editions of Faculty Matters Magazine. Dr. Smith enjoys educating and inspiring.
